Thursday, October 25, Another Minecraft Update. 7:45 a.m. Email to school tech: Just confirming that kids can’t update the computers.
10:12 a.m. Tech email response: Kids cannot update the computers in the computer lab. I breathe a sigh of relief.
12:05 p.m. I amble into the computer lab. Kids are already playing Minecraft.
Kids in lab: Mr. Kahn, the server doesn’t work with the new update. Mr. Kahn: Ugh! Why?! Why?! Why?!
I don’t understand. I thought Mojang bought Bukkit so that it could all be released as a package and this wouldn’t happen. This is so frustrating. Now Bukkit needs to be updated and we need to wait for a build. Some plugins won’t work and will need to be updated. It sometimes makes me wonder if this is worth the trouble. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Downgrade the version of minecraft.
You could use a program called MC nostalgia. It allows you to change the jarfile, with a simple batch program, to all previous versions of Minecraft, including everything from classic, alpha, beta, indev, infdev, prerelease, and release.
you don’t need to get the update I have minecraft 1.5.2 and one of my friends has 1.6.4 I did not have to update it
